Fast drive, tons of storage

I have three of them now and they are fast, quiet and big. So far no reliability problem. Easy to get going. Shock resistant. Price good too. WD id good to deal with in the event of a problem too.

Great TB Drive!

Pros: I've had this drive for a few days and it is great. 12ms access time. Throughput very fast at the beginning of the drive (100-120 mb/sec range), but drops off to 60-70 toward the end. Feels very responsive and is more stable than my 7200.11. I'm glad WD finally went to 32mb cache.

No packing material on a hard drive??
In all fairness this isn't a problem with the WD (although I did have two WD fail on me within one month), it's a problem with Amazon's shipping. Haven't had a problem with items that Amazon has shipped (but I have with external vendors) but this package was ridiculous. The drive arrived with two deflated strips of plastic. Even if they were fully inflated I would not be happy with the packing at all, not nearly enough. Funny cause when I order a pack of CDs they are shipped in two boxes with tw...
