Pros: it is an OEM hard drive with a lot of bubble wrap. it worked out of the wrap with only plugging in standing betwixt myself and data storage. installed Ubuntu 64 bit on alternate cd, due to SATA restraints...no complaints.
Cons: it did not give me any kind of physical satisfaction.

Probably going to get AAK versions now

Pros: Great price, NewEgg Service was great as always.
Cons: Likely to come with the defective 3.AAK firmware. I bought two, found them to be AAK (the performance is off about 35% from what Seagate advertises. I RMAed the drives, with assurances from Seagate that they would correct the problem - only to get the same defective AAK versions back.

Pros: Standard Seagate quality. It's a bit quieter than my previous 7200.9 drive, probably due to fewer platters. Runs cool and gives solid performance. Any hard drive manufacturer can have bad drives in a batch, but Seagate has yet to give me reason to RMA a product.

Cons: Terrible customer service.. One of these failed on me, and seagate charged me $21.20 to do an RMA. They should be the ones paying the full cost for replacing a defective product. Will not buy again. I rate this company a DDD-
