Run away as fast as you can.
I have used Pinnacle Studio since version 6. I love the interface. If it would ever actually work, it would be a great program. But, it doesn't. If you want a program that crashes and freezes constantly, this is for you. In 2 weeks in stopped responding 78 times. Not bad. Tech support said reinstall the program. I did, as expected, it did fix one problem, but new ones poped up. I did some looking at other reviews on the internet and found I was not the only one with the same issues. Not by a lon...

Nice for standard DVDs, Crashes & slow on i-7 with bluray
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I've owned 2 previous versions, and they worked very well for making dozens of Standard def DVDs. I got this upgrade for BluRay movies, (and got the fastest i7 computer). Unfortunately this new version often crashes during saves. It freezes up for 3-5 minutes at a time. My computer has 12 Gig of memory, but this program never uses more than 1 Gig, and does a huge amount of disk swappin...

Very versatile program for video and audio processing

Pinnacle 12, very nice !!
Purchased this to assemble and create movies from several different media types, 8mm film, VHS, and 8mm video tape. I wanted to begin archiving before the originals did not deteriorate completely. Very easy to install. The one caution that it does not mention is (if like me) you have boxes full of old memories, is that I highly recommed that you install the program on a separate drive, i.e. the drive you plan on using to store your projects. Some really neat features, too bad it's too buggy to work
The program has some really great/neat features. I put together a really nice editted DVD and then spent hours and hours trying to get it to render with one failure after another. I had about 8 support emails with the company and they eventually decided to blame it on my hardware when it was very clearly caused by bugs in their program. Many users on their website have reported the same bugs.
