Amazing unit!
I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews regarding all of the top gps units, but always kept coming back to Garmin! I own two Garmin GPS units, one for my bicycle, and a hand held, and have had great experiences with them both. This unit does exactly what it says with very little complaints from me! More Than Pleased

Buy the 780 for $199, if still available. The voice recognition is not worth it!
I paid $374 for this model in order to get the voice recognition. However, even when it is working, it requires that you look at the screen to get your next choices as they are all numbered. Also, they are only numbered 1-4 so you have to scroll though a huge list of results to find what you are looking for. The Best Out There Garmin 885T
Excellent features and very good GPS. It gets a satellite lock inside my house!!! The voice recognition is the gem in this thing. It really works and once you start using it, it is very useful and functional. You don't have to push buttons.

LOVE IT!!
I recently purchased the Garmin 885t after having owned the Streetpilot C340. I felt that I wanted an upgrade for a couple of reasons. Good Luck with Customer Service
Garmin customer service is among the worst I have ever encountered. My Garmin Nuvi bricked after the first week of use because Garmin downloaded a patch that rendered it useless. Garmin was very arrogant and condescending. They treated me as if I was the problem and that they were doing me a favor by offering to repair it under warranty. Cutting edge as of March, 2009
I wrote a scathing review on the Garmin 785t. A Garmin CSR replaced the original 785t with a new 785t which was worse. In a surprise move, they replaced the second 785t with the 885t. This unit is awesome and I very highly recommend it.

I "upgraded" from a Garmin NUVI 350 to an 885T. My 1st trip was from Tennessee thru the Northeast, seeking specific locations for my job.
