Works well, some minor drawbacks
The unit was recommended in Consumer Reports, is easy to use and quite accurate. The only problem I've encountered is that the power adapter for the car does not work in all vehicles. I bought the unit recently before traveling for business and the adapter didn't work in my rental car (a Hyundai Sonata, for anyone curious), and returned home to find that it doesn't work in my VW Golf either.

GPS: Best Buy for your Bucks
My parents had purchased a Garmin 265T for their annual summer vacation touring the southern states. They absolutely loved their GPS and recommended that I get one. I did and love mine too. It is so accurate and the cost was excellent for the features that it had. Make sur your GPS has lifetime traffic updates! Mine does. This is VERY important otherwise you'll have to pay everytime you need an update on new roads, routes, etc.

Very good product
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I really liked the Garmin 265. It worked fine during my travel in many cities in USA. It is fast to get synchronization with the satellites and easy to manage. If you decided to buy it I recommend you to get the free upgrade of the Map in Garmin Web page before start using it.

I live in semi-rural Nebraska, so it can be hit and miss, but I love the little thing. I live about 90 miles west of Lincoln and that is bordering on "the middle of nowhere". The only time I ever had a problem was when I went about 70 miles north of where I live, and there is absolutely nothing up there.
