This is the best GPS system to date
Upgrading from an old GPS that I used when riding my bike around town (the Garmin GPS III Plus), this was a world of difference. First of all the size is that of a PDA which is compact enough to carry in your pocket and walk around with it. Absolutely Perfect!

Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: I could not be happier with this GPS. I have traveled over 12000 miles in 14 states while using it and it never missed a turn! Even remote rural dirt roads. Fantastic! Perfect for hiking with long battery life. I can slip into a pocket and never get lost in unfamilar cities. I can't believe the one reviewer trashed it. That review is simply not true OR his expectations were extremely unreasonable....

Excellent unit -- Traffic receiver software to be updated
Like others who have used the Nuvi 660, I think it is a superb product. It does just about all that can be expected of a computer-mapping device, and it is easy and intuitive to use. Outstanding display, good speech quality, generally excellent directions.
I tried the FM transmitter, and like other reviewers, found it unacceptable. For me, it is unimportant, so it doesn't enter into the rating.

Can't Live Without It
I've used the Nuvi 660 for 6 months now and love it. I use it all the time, even for driving to work. I use the time till next turn to help me figure out whether its worth staying in the left lane and passing all the slow pokes. I constantly look at the estimated time of arrival to see how I am doing.
Entering an address into the Nuvi takes only 20 seconds. You don't have to enter every letter of a city or street name. After it has enough letters, it shows a few matches and lets you...

Experienced pda user who is extremely pleased
Five minutes with this and all your friends will want it. The Nuvi works very, very well and shows a lot of care in its design and interface.

I could use a lot of words echoing the great reviews of this great 660 from Garmin. Screen is bright, voice is clear, loud, and understandable, quickly reroutes you if you get off route (like when you think you know more than it does), starts up quickly, and so far, maps seem to be very accurate. First Nuvi 660 died in 2 days, but Amazon took good care of me
The first Nuvi 660 I received from Amazon died within 2 days of normal use. One morning I put on my dash, turned it on and nothing happened. I thought it was the battery but it wasn't. I tried the car cord and the AC adapter to no avail. I tried to reset it and that was no help as well. I called Amazon and they couldn't have been any nicer. The sent me a brand new unit by overnight mail that same day. They even agreed to pick up the shipping both ways. Their is no better place to buy than Amazon...

I own both the Nuvi 660 and the 760, I'm writing this review for people having trouble deciding between the two as the price difference between the two products at the time of this review is about 100 dollars. Excellent product
After much deliberation between various GPS devices, I settled on the 660.
So far, after about a month of usage, I have yet to find a downside. Good screen size and very good brilliance. I'm very glad that this model has voice, without which, I would not have been a happy camper.
