At under $250 for the camera, a 1 GB Meory Stick Duo, a good case, and an LCD protector, this is one fine camera. The base price is less than $200, the 1 GB Memory Stick Duo (stores about 370 hi-def shots) is about $33. A handy feature not to be overlooked...
I see there are many positive reviews for this camera, which I have had for a year or so. I am adding my own because I see no mention in the first few reviews of a feature I really like about this camera--it takes video. And decent video, at that. Mixed Feelings
I have mixed feelings about this camera.
The build is great, looks elegant and almost has a jewelery feel to it.
The user interface is well designed and logical.
The power and playback buttons can be a bit small and flat, but they are very responsive.
Battery life is amazing.
Image wise, I like how this camera captures color - rich without being overly saturated.

Perfect for baby/toddler pictures
This is our third digital camera since we had a baby, but it is the first one that allows us to take nearly perfect pictures of our son (15 months old). The reason is simple: a very small shutter lag. All digital cameras (except the very expensive SRL ones) have a noticeable shutter lag (the time it takes from pressing the button to actually taking a picture). Great Camera
I have been to the store to test out a few Sony Digital Cameras. This is the new model that just came out a month ago. I picked one up last night and it is terrific. The images are extremely clear. I really love my first digital camera! I searched and I searched and I finally found what I wanted. The pictures are crystal clear, the movie playback is exceptional - you only hear what you're supposed to, no loud background noise or static, no muffled noise. The pictures come out so clear that after you take the picture you can zoom in 5X and count the pores on your face! I love it! I don't think I could ask for a better camera. Nice sleek looking package
I've had this camera for a few days, I can say that I'm really satisfied with the pictures taken. I've had to play around with the settings to get the right shots indoors. Outdoors and Macro shots are great, crystal clear shots. My last camera was the bulkier Canon s450 5mp, and I really like this camera better with the exception that I had more manual controls on my canon.
