Excellent!
I love this camera it was everything i was hoping for and more. It is quite complex so its taken some time getting used to and learning the features, but the more i practice the better it gets. My pictures are wonderful quality, and im so glad i sprung for what i wanted and got the swivel lens. It comes in very handy. I am a beginner photography and plan to attend college in the fall 2010 for a degree and i know this baby will be by my side the whole way!

Recall, really? I received the camera and sent it Nikon the next day, still waiting for its return. Thank Newegg for the low price, I see why now.

Excellent Camera despite recall
Okay guys, what is the issue here. That D5000 has a recall for power switch that has nothing to do with its "picture taking" capability. I got one of the earliest batches of this camera, bought in Jun 09. Serial # 304...... It does fall into recall and I sent it few days ago. So far it has been working flawlessly and I have taken more than 2000 pictures.
