Good quality machine!
I just recently bought this machine at my local Office Depot store, and it's a wonderful, cheap powerhouse. I had a couple reasons for choosing this machine, and there are them:
(1). Its processor is Intel branded. Because of bad experiences with AMD, I only buy Intel.
(2). It has expansion slots, AKA it is a big tower, not those tiny, unexpandible towers. This is good for when I want to upgrade the weakest point of this machine: The graphics card.

Good except for VISTA....HATE IT
I just bought this yesterday. I like the speed, hate the pre installed crap and HATE HATE HATE VISTA. would love to install WIN7 now but will that void the Warranty? Got mine at office depot also didnt see anything about a free printer rebate? Where do I find that?
Pros: Faster
Cons: vista
preinstalled software crap
small keyboard
64 bit so have to find new drivers for my printer, wireless and camera doc etc.

I've been deceived
Ok, so this computer is great for a home PC setup. Nice duo core processor. 6 gigs of ram is nice.

worked like a charm right out the box

Ease of use
Heard horror stories about Vistsa OS, has frozen up a few times, but the available free Windows 7 upgrade coming in Oct should resolve that. otherwise very good machine.If it all works out after installing Windows 7,I am seriously thinking of purchasing another one right away.

Decent model for the price
It seems to be a good machine, decent value, but I haven't tried all the bells and whistles yet, like burning a DVD or using the Windows media software. Not getting the download speed I was hoping for but think I'd do a lot better with Road Runner, have SBC Yahoo now and it's not the fastest kid on the block... A sigh of relief!
The day my new HP Pavillion arrived, there was a sigh of relief. My old HP was a beast and was extemely slow. Setting up my new HP was a breeze and within 20 minutes of it being delivered to my home, I was surfing the web like a maniac. I could almost feel a gust of wind when I would jump sight to sight because this bad boy was so fast. I definately feel that I got my bang for buck with this computer. I love it!

Great Buy
The HP for the money is a great buy. Fast, easy setup. With the specs on the machine, comparing with others, it's truly a smart value purchase. Having great success with HP pavillion computers. Using three in the house assigned for different tasks, all networked as well. Reliable performance as well as longevity is why I have stayed with HP.
