Nice UPGRADEABLE machine!

Pros: Bluray player for such a low priced system $819.99 at the Navy NEX. 8GB of DDR3 1066MHz memory. Runs HL2 EP1 & 2 like a champ at the HIGHEST settings! Adobe CS3 software runs superbly. Cons: CPUz say this is an nVida 790 board but it is not. It is a 900 series board. So no AMD overdrive but you CAN us ATi overdrive for the video card.
Other Thoughts: The RAM is DDR3 but it is DUAL Channel. On the HP website it states that it will support 16GB (4GB per DIMM) witha 64x OS. Also it will support DDR...

Pros: Blu-ray, VGA DVI and HDMI, Tons of hard drive space. Awesome at multitasking. Lots of RAM. Best bang for the Buck out there.
Cons: Hard drive should be 7200rpm.

unhappy FreeBSD camper

Pros: Good system for Windows 7 (RC) or Ubuntu Linux 9.04. Have had no problems with these. Lots of RAM.
Cons: Wont run FreeBSD. Not HP's fault but Phenom II has issues with this OS, and FreeBSD is the OS I bought it for. Should have done more homework before buying :-(

Pros: It has just about everything. The bluray looks great and this computer is fast. The radeon card siphons some of the ram, but it has 8gb to spare. HP is also upgrading it to 7 if you bought it within a certain time period.
Cons: 300 W powers supply, it was the first thing I changed when I got it.
