Good little player - these are priced right and basic models We own three models of phillips and each has it's pro's and cons. This is a bit better than some of the other models -not quite as slow although by no means does it compare to some of the other more expensive units on the market. Multi-region is a big issue, nice picture, does what it is meant to do without the hassle. For the price, I'm pleased by this machine. Good all around for playability.
downsides: that remote... ugh... its tempermetal shall we say but when you get around to figuring it out well, it will only be slightly aggravating. (my best advice is using left and right for fast forwarding than the skip/ff buttons as it will always confuse the two if you aren't careful)
