Great TV with great price
Excellent picture quality, very easy to setup, Anynet feature works great with Samsung DVD1080P8 as well as ATT Uverse remote. The picture is so good it beats LCD model. I did my research well and find that the picture on this TV is comparable to Samsung series 6 LCD and just as good as Sony XBR4. The contrast level is very good even in bright room. Want a beautiful 50" HDTV? Don't want to mount it on the wall?
Then this is perfect, especially if you want to pay less than $1200 (that's right LESS than $1200) for that beautiful picture. I love this tv I am going to buy a blu-ray play soon. The TV screen is soo bright and sharp.
I have air cleaner by this TV to stop dust getting in side a UPS to keep the bulb form burning out when the power goes out. the bulb needs to cool down slowly with a fan in side the tv after its been turn off.

Unbeatable, Except for the Viewing Angle
I agree with the other positive comments. I really like the 45.2" width. No other 50" TV can fit into a space that narrow. Price, picture, controls, lack of sports motion blur, light weight, energy savings, deep blacks, etc. are all as good as it gets. I am not worried about the bulb blowing after warranty. We did our research for months and this was the "best of breed" for us. We wanted a display that would do it all, games, HD, PC, HD-3D, and this was the ticket! The first unit that arrived was defective, visible line along the bottom of the screen which looked like a manufacturing defect and did bend the image. Granted I've only had this Tv for a short time but for the price it's pretty hard to pass up this set. 1080P is where its at and this Tv delivers. There is a multitude of connections so most everyone will be able to hook up thier electronic goodies, from the past ten years to the latest and greatest. I have had the HL50A650 for one month. The picture quality is as good as any plasma or lcd hdtv that I have seen. There is no trace of bluring or loss of resolution in high movement movies such as Transformers.
