Perfect knife selection for all your foods
I was very pleased with the quality of both the knives and the knife block. Looks very nice on the kitchen counter, yet does not have so high a profile that it cannot be placed on it's side in a locked cupboard if you have small children.
For the price of the entire collection, the quality is unsurpassed.

So Glad I Didn't Go For Expensive Sets
I was originally going to go with the big brands, expensive sets, due to having many many cheap and dull knives at home. So glad that I didn't do that. After reading the positive reviews here, I decided to purchase. Been using it for a while now, still feeling sharp, plus because of the cheap price, I don't feel as guilty if I don't take proper care of it all the time. Definitely highly recommend this set.

Unbelievable value
These knives are balanced, comfortable and very sharp. I am extremely impressed with the quality. Cutting is effortless. They feel very solid and sturdy. They are dishwasher safe, although I hand wash mine. There are extra spaces in the block to put some other knives or expand your Victorinox collection. Great knife set!

Pros: Victorinox/Forschner knives are designed for and marketed to the Food Processing Industry (The people who use knives every day). They are dollar for dollar the finest knives on the planet. Razor sharp, dishwasher safe, easy to resharpen, very affordable.
Cons: Not an American made product, but at least they are not made in China
