Great heat, not so great non-stick
I bought a set of these Cuisinarts about 9 months ago. This skillet was included in the set, as well as a smaller one and several pots.
Pros: Excellent heat conduction. Stays hot, cooks evenly and transfer from oven to stovetop and back is very convenient.
Cons: The nonstick coating is not really working anymore. Though these have never been in the dishwasher or been scrubbed with anything heavier than a sponge, the nonstick coating has slowly burned off in patche...

Handle is too heavy for pan
It looks nice and cooks fine. My complaint is that the handle is too heavy for the size of pan, and when set on a glass stovetop, the weight of the handle seems to lever the opposite side of the pan, preventing it from cooking evenly.

"Made in China "- phobic !
"Made in China", need more be said? Just got this today and I'm sending this back to Amazon. I'm afraid to use it, nothing in product description noted the "Made in China" label. Has not been 'recalled'...yet... "News of unsafe products infiltrating the American marketplace is becoming all too familiar," said Representative Edward Markey, a Massachusetts Democrat. "It's clear that our consumer-product safety net has a hole in it the size of China.'' I don't want to find out 'too late' what...

I love it!
I just got this skillet about 2 weeks ago, so I'm not sure how long the cookware will last, but so far, I love how easy the cleaning part is. Before I got this skillet, I always put my nonstick cookwares in the dishwasher, and after I ruined the previous set, I know better to always hand-wash them. They're so easy to clean and use. Unlike the stainless steal pots, the skillet is light and easy to handle. They're definitely one of my favorites!

After Two Months
I am very disappointed with this product. Almost everything sticks to it, especially eggs, which is what I bought it for.

Great Skillet, Terrific Value
Very pleased with item, exactly as described, shipped promptly, and already put to good use. The item was a terrific value compared to other in-store or online shopping.

Cuisinart - CaCa
After 4-5 years of owning this is deteriorated and was recently replaced. I would not buy this product again.

Cusinart 8inch skillet
I like this pan, but it does NOT fry eggs without any shortening, as the company suggests. I do need to add butter or margarine, or oil, otherwise the eggs stick, although the pan washes easily, and completely, with little effort.

Nice pan, one quirk
What can you say about a pan? It cooks, and the food doesn't stick. That's about all I ask. The quirk I have found is that when you wash it, it seems that an obvious film of grease stays on the pan, and you can feel it with your finger and see the smears when you run your finger over it. That raises a question about what bacteria are thriving in that grease, and about the detergent that is dissolved in it. I have taken to washing them two times, the second time in fresh hot water that hasn't ha...

The 8-inch and the 12-inch skillet
I bought the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 8-Inch Open Skillet, and then turned right around and bought the 12-inch. This is a fantastic product that lives up to all it advertises to do.
