I am doing it!
I love this product, first of all, I was able to program it by myself! The pedometer is easy to read, shows actual steps walked, aerobic steps, calories burned and miles walked. I like how you can show put this device in your pocket and it works!
If you need motivation to get those 10,000 steps in (5 miles) than I really suggest you get this pedometer. I have owned two other ones before, they were a waste of money, but not this one, worth every dollar!

The best one, no matter how unlikely it looks
I've bought half a dozen pedometers. Some were as complicated as computers, and never worked right. Others were brain-dead simple step counters, which were inaccurate and broke within a few weeks. This Omron HJ112 looks very unlikely, but really it is far and away the best; this is the one to buy. It has just enough smarts to be convenient, but is easy to set up--30 seconds. Good Accurate Rugged Product
The other reviewers have covered the functions, so I'll just say what I've done with it.
I bought it after reviews here, & from a leading consumer testing service who recommended it. I have found it very accurate. I don't wear it on my hip at all. I put it in my pants pocket, or clipped to my collar on my T-Shirt. It is incredibly accurate & I tested it against my Garmin Vista GPS. It was accurate to within 20 steps!

This is my third pedometer. It is by far the BEST pedometer I have ever owned. The best feature is the safety clip which prevents the pedometer from inadvertently falling to the ground. My first pedometer - loving it!
I have had this item for just a day now, but I'm already singing it's praises! It was extremely easy to program (took about 5 minutes). I love the fact that it has modes for normal steps, aeorbic steps, distance walked, and calories burned - which are super-easy to flip through. I haven't gotten to use the memory feature yet (since this is day 1), but I'm sure it will be flawless as well. The most useful and accurate machine.
I have tried to get to grips with a few pedometers and most are fraught with very similar problems, which basically amount to cheap, unreliable technology and poor design. This one has none of those problems, it is extremely sensitive and accurate, the design is simple, functional and robust.

Finally a pedometer that works!!
I've been through a half dozen pedometers over the years, and never stuck with them because they were so unreliable. I finally found this one which is without a doubt the best and most reliable (accurate) pedometer I have ever used. I took it to the track, walked a quarter of a mile, did the math to get my stride, walked the quarter mile again, and it was right on the button. A little on the large side, but very accurate
This is a great little motivator. I've lost about 25 pounds so far just by walking a bit more each day and a pedometer helps make sure you do just that. The great thing about this guy, though, is that you don't have to clip it to your belt. Just keep it in your pocket and it does a surprisingly good job of counting your steps. I have had this pedometer one month now and it is the best. I was going through a pedometer every 6-8 weeks and had multiple problems with the different brands. So this time I read the reviews and ended up with this one. In one month it has not accidentally reset itself a single time.
