The Dinosaur & the Kindle
I am not a gadget girl. I am not an early adopter. I am a dinosaur. I am in love with books. I like the feel of them, the smell of them, and I am a passionate supporter of independent booksellers. Great e-book reader...
I'm a first-time Kindle owner - just received mine today. In fact, I left work early to make sure the package left by UPS wouldn't be sitting in front of my house for long. Goodbye paperbacks, hello Kindle
My Kindle 2 arrived yesterday and I wanted to post a review before I forgot my initial impressions. The first thing I noted was the shipping package. It appeared to be in the standard Amazon brown box that all Amazon shipments come in, but upon closer look I saw that it was a custom package exclusively for the Kindle. I got my Kindle a few weeks ago (around 2). A week later I took a trip. When I turned my Kindle on the first morning of vacation (no drops or problems had occurred) it would NOT start up.
