Very good - Just what the doctor ordered
I am an accountant and work on the road with my laptop most of the time. But data entry without a numeric keypad has been a real drag. The Kensington keypad design is awesome because it kills two birds with one stone. It combines its original purpose as a numeric keypad for notebook computers with an external calculator. Almost PERFECT for my use/need...If it didn't SLEEP
Been using it daily since I got it for Xmas'08. Replaced older numeric keypad and PDA that acted as a calculator. Now I have one device on my right side to do both.
HOWEVER!!! My biggest complain is it should have an option of not needing to go to sleep. Yes, it turns off after a minute of not being used. Annoying the hell out of me when I start using it and realize it too late. Would be nice if it turned on when a key is touched.

Good Keypad but not great.
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Its a good number keypad but not great. Some keys functions are not understandable. Manual is not there to explain the special keys. Also when in NUM LOCK Mode the LCD screen does not show the pressed number keys or does not echo the pressed keys on the LCD screen. Not that great
This item is not a stand-alone calculator. It must be plugged in to the computer to use the calculator feature. For some reason, it times out. It is very annoying when you try to enter numbers and you realize that the thing has timed out. I'm not sure why they designed it to do this. It's not like there is a battery that is running down (as I mentioned, it must be plugged in to use). It works pretty well if you can deal with the timing out thing. It came with a manual and works fine. It can be switched to a calculator and later input the final result to the computer, which is cool. The position of the keys is a little odd and may take some getting used to.
The price decreased bit by bit since I bought it 2.5 months ago, when it was over $30. So I guess it won't hurt to wait =)

Wonderful
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) It always bugged me that I couldn't input data on my laptop as I could on a conventional PC, but I purchased this and now I can!!! Plus, it has two extra usb ports on it [and when can we not use more usb ports :) ] and it is a calculator to boot!

Great Product!!
Product does exactly what it's supposed to. Buttons are great for data entry and selecting modes (calculator/keypad) is flawless. I highly recommend this product everyone with a laptop.

Great keypad
Great product that works fine. Only issue is that you have to remember to "wake up" keypad after a period of inactivity. Other than that it's a great attachment for anyone needing a keypad.

Really useful for accountants
This is an awesome product for people who use numbers a lot, but don't want a 17" laptop. Works with my Vista Business although it doesn't say it on the box.
The usb ports are so handy. Wish the screen was bigger and I wish (although probably not realistic) that it had ".00" option.
