Our baby loves this
I replaced our old Ocean Wonders Aquarium soother with this Rainforest Waterfall version about a month and a half ago. The Aquarium was still working and our baby liked the lights and music, but I was looking for something that would play for a longer period of time. With the Aquarium, I had to go in her room and press the button a couple of times before she would fall back asleep. Not fun at 3 or 4 in the morning when all I want to do is fall back asleep. I had read that the Waterfall sooth...

very nice but could use a better timer...
We bought the Rainforest Peek-A-Boo when we were on vacation because we forgot to bring our usual soother. The Rainforest Peek-A-Boo is great. Our 5 month old is fascinated by it. The soother does its job in terms of helping him to sleep. However, the timer feature could be improved. Our son falls asleep better with the light and sound. Unfortunately the longer, 18 minute, setting is with sound only. Overall the Fisher-Price Rainforest is a very good product that I would recommend.

Love it, needs a few improvements though
This was a gift for my daughter and she LOVES it. She's mezmerized by the lights and movement and will cry when it turns off (she's still too little to reset herself). The characters are cute, the waterfall is very calming (even my husband and I stare at it), and the music and noises are very nice and relaxing.
I do think it has a few areas of improvement. 1) The straps are really hard to get on. 2)The timer is way too short - I am always having to reset it for my daughter 3)It would ...

Way too bright, otherwise is great
I originally had the ocean wonders aquarium, and needed a second one for my second son. I gave this one a try because I liked the jungle theme. I do like the music options, the volume options, and the motion the monkeys make. My son seems to really like it and we've actually taken it travelling with us for a sense of home for him. Works like a charm. He's 9 months old and is starting to turn it on/off by himself now.
But I'm not in love with it. Here's why: 1. The straps are SO...

Good, but Bright- I miss the old Ocean Aquarium!
I got this for my son because he enjoyed the other rainforest items. This was very nice, except the light was so bright that it lit up his entire room at night! Definitely not what I would use to soothe him to sleep. That being said, he loved watching the animals swing and the waterfall "work" I just wish the lights weren't so bright that I can't use it in the middle of the night. Whenever I turned it on he would squeeze his eyes shut and start to fidget to escape from the light!

Stock up on batteries!
This is a really cute crib soother. I love the characters, the music, the motion and the blue "waterfall". My daughter does calm down when she hears it go on. That said, I agree with the others that say the time the music plays is too short. The timer really should have several parent-set options(8, 12 or 15 minutes). My biggest complaint is that my daughter is only 6 weeks old and I have already needed to change the batteries twice! What's up with that?

Squeaks!!
While my son loves this soother, when you switch it to the movement selection it makes a terrible crickety squealing squeak that continues as long as it's going. It only did it a little at first and I just didn't switch it to that, but now he moves the switches himself and wakes himself up with the noise. Called FP and they said they'd replace it, that it was an earlier one (2007) and the new one shouldn't do it.

Blinded by the light...
I have both this product and the Fisher-Price Aquarium, which overall has received worse reviews. I actually like the aquarium better, mostly because the light is not blinding. I turned on the blue light in a dark room last night and was, as the famous song goes, "blinded by the light". My 5 month old was squinting and turned away as she too was startled.
However, I do agree with the reviewers who said that the music quality, visuals, etc. are wonderful, which is why I gave it 3 ...

Still loves it after 6 months!
I bought this soother for my son when he was 6 months old. He is 13 months old now and still loves it. When I first purchased it, he couldn't turn it on by himself. Now, he can do it on his own. My husband and I can hear him over the baby monitor playing with it both when he goes down at night and wakes in the morning. I have it set on the "works" for him--lights, music, sound... and I have only replaced the batteries once so far. But to be fair, he only uses it 2 or three times a day ...

Great Soother
We just got this a couple of weeks ago for our 7 week old baby and I'm already glad I have it. I can put our daughter in the crib and turn it on and she will turn her head to look at it. The music and sounds are very relaxing. We have our volume level set in the middle and it is just the right volume, not too quiet to be heard, not too loud.
I'm looking forward to the time when she learns how to turn it on by herself. I'm certain this will provide soothing sounds and lights in the...
