A Must Have
I ordered this stamp set for my 3 year old. I was concerned when I was ordering it that it might not be up to the job of withstanding a 3 year old, due to the low price. When we recieved it, we tore it open to find the box was made of sturdy wood, as well as all the stamps. And yes, the ink really is washable! You just put the stamp under warm water and the ink just rinses away. It comes out of clothing, walls and just about anywhere else toddlers may think to put it. And the rubber stampers tha...

Washable? Laughable!
Most of the art supplies I have bought in the past were Crayola, so I'm used to the claim of washability being true. Not so with the Melissa & Doug stamp sets. I broke out a few of the sets as a rainy day surprise this morning for my kids. Because of the claim of washability, I didn't bother to set out a cover on their play table. When the kids were finished playing, their little hands and the table were covered in ink. No biggie. I helped them put their stamps away and then grabbed some wipes t...

Fun by Messy!
Durability: Fun: Educational: My son has had the Dinosaur Stamp Set for a little over 2-years now, and it's been well used. The box has a label on the outside, which indicates each dinosaur, and has really come in handy for me, as I know very little about the Mesozoic Era. The only shortcoming I've experienced with the Dinosaur Stamp Set is the worthless pencils. The pigment is so hard it doesn't work. I tossed them in the trash after our first play sess...

dinosaur stamps
Durability: Fun: Educational: Was looking for an art project for one of my grandson's that could "travel". This stamp kit is very portable, I really like the way everything packs back into it. Good choice of stamps that will provide a lot of story time for the active imagination of my grandson.

Lots of fun!
Durability: Fun: Educational: My son got this stamp set for his 5th birthday. He's getting into coloring and loves dinosaurs. He really enjoys it, as does his little sister (2) and any friends who have come over to play. It's great quality and they spend a lot of time stamping and then coloring in the stamps with the colored pencils. The only downside is that you have to press down really hard for the pencils to color. We have just replaced the pencils wi...

Fun stamps
Durability: Fun: Educational: My three-year-old enjoys stamping with her own little box of stamps. The quality of the stamps is excellent. The lines are sharp and the stamps themselves are made of the thick blocks of wood you expect from Melissa and Doug. The rubber parts are attached very well, and the stamps pads included wash pretty well from foreams, fingertips, etc. No, the pencils aren't the best, but honestly, that doesn't matter. The stamps themse...

Great stamps, worthless pencils!
My 3 & 4 year olds love the dinosaur stamps- but we're really bummed by the poor quality colored pencils. The quality of the stamps are great and they are washable. But buy your own colored pencils!!!
